(C) Under higher magnification, the mitochondria in scrambled control cells were clear and had well-defined cristae (arrows). (D) The mitochondria in GRP94-KD cells had lost a portion of the cristae, leaving translucent patches (arrows). The mitochondria in GRP94-KD cells had been degraded by autophagosomes.
