Relevant (a) and irrelevant (b) stimuli in the metropolis. The participant approaches a green traffic-light intersection. Either a vehicle appears and enters the intersection from the right hand side of the screen requiring evasive action in order to avoid a collision (a) or stationary vehicles remain on either side and no evasive action is necessary (b).
