CD4+ and CD8+ T cell development in humanized mice. Human CD4+ and CD8+ T cells were measured as the percentage of the total human CD45+ lymphocyte population in blood. Group sizes were 10 for early (10 wk) time points and 3 for late (22 wk) time points. After mice were inoculated with human umbilical cord stem cells at 24 to 48 h after birth, the proportion of CD4+ T cells slowly increased. Data are presented as means ± 1 SD.
