Role of autophagy in interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and pro-IL-1β secretion. Concentrations of IL-1β (A) and pro-IL-1β (B) in culture supernatants (secreted) and cell pellets (intracellular) of neutrophils stimulated or not with LPS + ATP for 5 h in the absence or presence of 3-methyladenine (3-MA) (5 mM) added 30 min before LPS stimulation. Concentrations of IL-1β (C) and pro-IL-1β (D) in culture supernatants (secreted) and cell pellets (intracellular) of mock-treated or starved neutrophils stimulated with LPS + ATP for 5 h.
