The 28-day crude mortality for patients with cefotaxime-resistant Enterobacteriaceae bacteremia. Cases are grouped according to treatment with flomoxef (FLO) or ertapenem (ERT) and are further stratified by infection by Escherichia coli (EC) or Klebsiella species (KS). Number of cases with mortality among total cases in the respective group are indicated. Comparison between groups was undertaken using the c2 or Fisher’s exact test, as appropriate. The results are indicted as two-tailed p < 0.05 indicating statistical significance.
