The table summarizes the behavioral parameters before and after ION severing at 1–3 and 8–10 days. Estimated parameters: Poke End Reach: time lapse between Poke and paw crossing the slot. Other parameters as in Table 1. In each box the top number is the mean value and the bottom number is the standard error, for n = 20. Note that at 1–3 days all behavioral parameters are significantly increased in comparison to controls (p = 0.000, Kruskal-Wallis test) while at 8–10 days only the poke-end reach values overlap values in controls (p = 0.000, Kruskal-Wallis test).
