Flow diagram of study designing and analysis plan. Cross-sectional blood samples from HIV-1-infected EC (n = 19), treatment naïve patients with viremia (VP, n = 8), and HIV-1-negative persons (HC, n = 13) were obtained for transcriptomics study. Additional plasma samples were obtained from therapy naïve patients with viremia (n = 24) and HIV-1-negative persons (n = 10) for the proteomics profiling.
