Cross-validation matrix. Each Vi matrix was decomposed by each Wj matrix. Each cell in the cross-validation matrix represents the corresponding VAF for each calculation. The representative set of muscle synergies was determined according to the highest mean VAF across the rows of the matrix. The values on the right of the matrix are the means and SD's of each corresponding row. In order to validate this decision two additional indices were computed.
