Comparison of refractive power (chromatic shift) reported by several studies. Note that the chromatic shift is much larger for the short wavelengths (blue photoreceptor) than for the long wavelengths (red photoreceptor). All the data are adjusted vertically to have a zero value at the reference wavelength of 589 nm giving the longitudinal chromatic aberration a refractive power of about two diopters.
