The ALPHA-2 apparatus. The catching trap is on the antiproton beam line entering from the AD from the left. The main atom trap is located under the ladder-accessible platform which houses electronics for the annihilation vertex detector. The large dewar to the right of the atom trap contains liquid helium used to cool down the atom trap.
