Electron microscopic observations. (A–L) H. pylori was cultured with or without test drugs for 3 h in a microaerophilic chamber with agitation and morphological changes were observed under the SEM. Niclosamide treatment (1× , 4× , 8× MIC) caused morphological changes such as a shortened length of curved bacilli (C–H) compared to no treatment (A,B). Amoxicillin (0.1 μg/mL) and CCCP (10 μM) served as control drugs.
