Data are mean ± SEM, n = 6/group. Fibrosis scores were obtained from quantitation of positive pixels per 100 × field in picrosirius red‐stained sections viewed under cross‐polarized light (Fig. 2A). Scores were averaged per group and normalized to the CH‐fed mice. Total represents the sum of mean scores for all histologic features. Mann‐Whitney U tests used for pairwise comparisons to WD/WD: P < 0.05, P < 0.01, § P < 0.001.
