(a) Formalin-induced Phase-I and Phase-II inflammatory pain, as measured by duration of spontaneous pain behavior (flinching/licking) in every 5 min, is reduced by intraplantar (i.pl.) pretreatment of PD-L1 (1–10 µg). *P<0.05, vs. vehicle (PBS), One-Way ANOVA, n = 7–10 mice/group. PD-L1 was administered 30 min prior to the formalin injection. (b) Basal mechanical pain assessed in von Frey test in naive mice.
