Only the Model-based efficacy analyses are given; the Empiric efficacy analyses are in supplementary figure S1 (supplementary data S4, available at Annals of Oncology online). The ideal outcome is to recommend an acceptable, i.e. tolerable and efficacious, dose level; the proportion of simulated DECs recommending such a dose level is annotated.
