Mid ventricular short axis view of systolic and diastolic myocardial T₂^* maps of healthy controls (top) and HCM patients (bottom) derived from CINE T₂^* mapping superimposed to FLASH CINE images. Spatial resolution = (1.0 × 1.0 × 4.0)mm³. T₂^* differences between systole and diastole can be observed. Distinct regions of increased T₂^* can be identified in the patients.
