Curcumin induces downregulation of HIF-1α and VEGF in HemECs. HemECs were treated with 25 μM curcumin or DMSO for 48 hours. (A) The mRNA level of HIF-1α in treated cells was examined by the RT-PCR assay. The expressions of (B) HIF-1α and (C) VEGF were examined with immunofluorescence analysis and specific antibodies.
