Table I. Segregation data from selfed progeny and a transmission efficiency analysis of the quadruple mutants.

Reciprocal crosses were performed between lrx heterozygous plants and wild-type (WT) plants. The transmission efficiency (TE) of gametes was calculated as follows: TE = number of progeny with the lrx allele/number of wild-type progeny × 100%. The observed TE was compared with the expected TE for normal gametes (100%). NA, Not applicable; TEF, female transmission efficiency; TEM, male transmission efficiency. For the χ2 test, degrees of freedom = 1, P < 0.05, χ2 > 3.84 or degrees of freedom = 2, P < 0.05, χ2 > 5.99.
