Aortas were obtained from mice (n=5) that received repeated injections of cocaine, CM, or saline. (A) Intracellular O2-, H2O2, and ONOO- were examined by incubating aorta cryosections with DHE, CM-H2DCFDA, and APF dye, respectively. (B) Fluorescent signal was quantified using Image J software. Cocaine or CM treatment significantly increased ROS levels compared to saline treatment (*: p < 0.05 vs. saline in each ROS).
