In the Draize test, several features of the exposed animal eye are measured including cornea damage, conjunctivae damage, irreversibility of the observed damage and a few others. The decision tree built from the hundreds of Draize eye irritation tests closely matches the OECD guidelines (reproduced from Luechtefeld et al., 2016b).
