P. chrysogenum DS1769 was grown in l-arabinose-, d-glucose-, or ethanol-limited chemostat cultures (dilution rate = 0.03 h−1, pH 6.5, T = 25 °C). Underlined genes were selected for further analysis based on a ≥ 30-fold higher transcript level in l-arabinose-limited cultures than in d-glucose-limited cultures.
