A comparison between before and after source-localized EEG for the cathodal group showed a significant difference for the theta frequency band (F = 3.63, p < 0.05) showing increased activity overlaying the dorsal anterior cingulate cortex extending to the rostral anterior cingulate cortex after cathodal stimulation in comparison to pre-stimulation. No significant effects were obtained for the delta, alpha1, alpha2, beta1, beta2, beta3 and gamma frequency bands.
