Overview of rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis rapid diagnostic test (RDT) probe reactions. The observed results for each rifampicin resistance–determining region mutation are overlaid on claimed probe coverage (light gray) of (A) Xpert MTB/RIF, (B) GenoType MTBDRplus v2.0, and (C) Genoscholar NTM + MDRTB II. Mutations yielding the expected probe reactions are in black and green, with delayed XpertMTB/RIF results in green, mutations missed by one probe but captured by another probe in blue, and mutations that were not at all captured by the RDT in red. Probe reactions overlaid on each other are in a striped pattern for greater visibility.
