A generalized linear model was used. To evaluate HbA1C or glucose, each covariate was adjusted by all variables listed in Table 3, minus the impaired glyometabolism category. To evaluate AST, ALT, or GGT, each covariate was adjusted by all variables listed in Table 3, minus the hepatic impairment category.
