Low ¹⁸O-enriched Ci (2.5 mmol l^–1) was injected at t=5 s, and chloroplasts from the wild type (black) or PIP1,2 (red) were injected at t=300s after chemical equilibrium had been reached. Final chlorophyll concentrations were 1.9 μg ml^–1 and 2.0 μg ml^–1 for the wild type and mutant, respectively.
