Sirtuin 4 (SIRT4) expression and the mitochondrial bioenergy indices are reprogrammed in human primary blood mononuclear cells during an acute inflammatory response. Healthy peripheral blood mononuclear cells were stimulated with 100 ng/ml lipopolysaccharide (LPS) for indicated times, (A) SIRT3 and SIRT4 gene induction was assessed using real-time-RT-PCR analysis (n = 3).
