Values are in per cent (95% CI). Results were directly age standardised using German population of 2011 to ascertain comparability. Characteristics were defined according to DEGS1: Overweight, BMI ≥25 kg/m2, obesity=BMI ≥30 kg/m2, hypertension=systolic blood pressure ≥140 mm Hg or diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mm Hg.
