Occurrence and organization of the CDGSH domain in Archaea. A time tree for all archaea classes was obtained from TimeTree.org. The presence or absence of the CDGSH domain within each class was determined using the Dictyostelium CISD (XP_647247.1) sequence as the query sequence to perform PSI-BLAST. Archaeal CISD homologs in each class were subjected to PFAM domain analysis to identify the domain organization (see methods). Node ages are represented in billion years ago (BYA).
