Supplementation of C media with glucose mimics some phenotypes observed for a ∆mga strain in THY. Transcript levels were determined using qPCR on RNA taken from WT GAS 5448 grown in C media supplemented to 0.5% glucose at late-log compared to ∆mga 5448.930 grown under the same conditions. Error bars represent the standard error from three biological replicates. Differences greater than 2-fold in expression for WT compared to mutant cells (dashed line) were considered significant.
