Representative traces of electromyography (EMG) recordings from the medial portion of the hemi-diaphragm show a loss of approximately 80-90% amplitude in C2 hemisection animals injected with AAV2-GFP (B) or AAV2-cRheb (C) compared to uninjured controls (A). There were no differences between AAV2-cRheb and AAV2-GFP in burst amplitude at any of the three ipsilateral hemi-diaphragm sub-regions (D). Uninjured, AAV2-GFP, and AAV2-cRheb were quantified with n = 3, 4, and 7, respectively.
