Exclusion criteria

Presentation with any kind of acute coronary syndrome (unstable angina pectoris, NSTE-ACS*, STEMI**)
Prior history of mechanical reperfusion (PTCA*** and/or stent)
Coronary ectasia in coronary angiography
Left ventricular systolic dysfunction (defined as LVEF****<50%)
Coronary artery spasm (variant angina)
More than mild degree valvular disease in any of the valves
Known collagen tissue disorder
Known thyroid disease or thyroid dysfunction as shown by thyroid function tests at the time of coronary angiography
