Secreted protein families identified in the primary duct of the Bothrops jararaca snake, during its secretory cycle. Red bars—Primary duct from snakes that had no venom previously removed (0-day); Blue bars—Primary duct from snakes that had their venom removed manually 4 days before (4-day). The identified proteins were classified as venom components following the literature [23]. The distribution of proteins was based on the percentage of unique peptide spectral count for proteins from each family relatively to the total unique peptide spectral count for all proteins identified in each group.
