Pooled analysis shows that there is a significant effect of exercise on hsCRP (standardized mean difference −0.53; 95% CI, −0.74 to −0.33). No significant difference in effect sized due to presence of cardiovascular disease was observed (χ2(1,2) = 1.61, p = 0.20).
