Analysis of viral pathogenesis in vivo. Groups of 10 female C57BL/6J mice (10–12 weeks of age) were infected intra-nasally with 5 × 105 FFU of Gi-wt or Gi-NS-PR8 virus. (A) Calculated percentages of body weight loss was recorded up to 14 days p.i.. Differences in weight loss between infection with Gi-wt and with Gi-NS-PR8 were significant (p < 0.025, repeated measures ANOVA) for days 1–4. Error bars indicate means ± SEM.
