OMV vaccination protects BALB/c mice from chronic glanders following intranasal inoculation. (A) 4–6 weeks old BALB/c mice intranasally challenged with 1.5 × 104 CFU B. mallei China 7 after prime-boost-boost vaccination with E555-, TxDOH-derived OMV or PBS (each group n = 5) were observed for survival out to 60 days. Statistically significant increases in survival compared to PBS vaccinated mice were determined by the Log-rank (Mantel-Cox) test where ** p ≤ 0.01.
