Growth kinetic profiles of RC85 cells in the presence of a growth-inhibiting concentration of ampicillin (30 μg/mL) plus 15 μg/mL of RC85⁺ OMVs pretreated with various enzymes, or with plasmid or genomic DNA instead of OMVs. The treatments included: 2.5 μg of pDNA or gDNA (a); 2.5 or 5 U of DNase I (b); 100 or 200 μg/mL of RNase A (c); and 50 or 100 μg/mL of proteinase K with or without a protease inhibitor cocktail (d). The data are presented as means and SEMs of three independent experiments.
