Conformations of MUC1 glycopeptide and peptide bound to AR20.5 (this study) and SM3 (Martinez-Saez et al. 2015). Glycosylation does not influence the conformation of the MUC1 epitope in either antibody (bottom and top panel). The conformation of the antigens is not identical in the two antibodies, but is in a similar extended conformation with no evidence of a turn (left and right panels).
