The % of SDH stained fibres from adult and old quadriceps tissue was calculated using a modified 3-point scale: 0 - unstained fibres; 1 – lightly stained fibres, 2 – dark stained fibres for semi quantification. The data shows % unstained/stained fibres of total fibres. All visible fibres in the section of the muscle were calculated. N = 3 biological replicates.
