Fig. 2 — Precision stepping performance on unperturbed and perturbed step targets. Step error (a) did not significantly change with age or ARD (available response distance) in both unperturbed and perturbed precision stepping. Step variability (b) significantly decreased with age in both unperturbed and perturbed precision stepping. Moreover, a trend was found for increasing variability at shorter ARDs, albeit that these changes were non-significant. Each open circle represents a participant.
