SAXS derived models of DC- and FL-RIG-I in the absence of any ATP analogue. DAMMIF (48,49) was used to calculate the ab initio shape reconstructions represented as grey envelopes. BUNCH (49) derived models of DC- and FL-RIG-I are superposed on ab initio shapes. The CTD is coloured orange, the helicase core is coloured green and the linker regions are shown as gray spheres. In the case of FL-RIG-I, the two CARDs are shown in purple and pink. Fits are shown in Supplementary Information Figure S3.
