Effect of heat stress (47 °C) on growth of E. coli BL21(DE3)pLysS cells expressing different variants of wheat cyclophilin TaCypA-1. The cells transformed with non-recombinant pET-28a(+) were used as control. The growth of cultures was monitored by recording absorbance at 600 nm (A) and by determining the colony forming units (cfu/ml) (B). The starting viable cell density was similar for all cultures. Data represent mean ± S.E of three independent biological replicates.
