Uptake of GDP-[3H]Fuc into Golgi vesicles. A, GDP-[³H]Fuc (1 μm, Sp. Act. 1 μCi/nmol) was incubated with Golgi vesicles (100 μg of protein) in a final volume of 0.1 mL for the times indicated. The reaction was terminated by 10-fold dilution of the reaction and filtering the incubation medium through 0.7-μm glass fiber filters. The filters were washed with cold buffer, dried, and the radioactivity associated with them estimated in a liquid scintillation counter.
