The distance between nodes is proportional to the number of mutational steps separating them. The “Great Britain” population is purple, “Maryland” is blue, “Newfoundland” is yellow, and “Novosibirsk” is green. Haplotypes N2 (found in 9 Novosibirsk foxes and 5 Maryland red foxes) and N3 (found in 1 Novosibirsk fox) were merged into a single node by Network.
