Biotin deficiency enhances the differentiation of naive and memory CD4+ T cells toward Th1 and Th17 cells. Naive and memory CD4+ T cells were supplemented with factors inducing Th1, Th17, and Treg differentiation for 3 d (memory) and 6 d (naive). Intracellular staining for cytokines was performed after PMA and ionomycin stimulation. Culture supernatants was harvested, and the level of IFN-γ, IL-10, and IL-17 cytokines was evaluated by ELISA.
