Fig. 1 — Effect of water and ethanolic extracts prepared from the powdered formula of H. cordata fermented broth and P. emblica fruit on proliferation of HeLa (a, b), HT29 (c, d) and HCT116 (e, f) cells, treated for 24, 48 and 72 h. The cell viability was calculated by comparison with the control, 0.5% DMSO treated. The results were shown as mean ± S.D. (n = 6). The average of half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC₅₀) values calculated from 3 independent experiments was presented along with a line graph
