Developing tuber samples were taken from 12-week-old plants grown in 2.5-L pots. Nucleotide concentrations were measured in TCA extracts by HPLC. All data represent the means ± se of measurements on six independent plants. Asterisks represent values significantly different (t test P < 0.05) to the wild-type level.
