The early insulin secretion was decreased in ODMs compared with ODFs (P = 0.035). The slopes of ISR against plasma glucose was reduced in female ODM compared with ODF (P = 0.003), and the slope of glucagon levels against plasma glucose tended to be reduced in female ODM (P = 0.07).
