Figure 1. — AaPAL induced decrease of metabolic activity in the mouse macrophage cell line RAW 264.7. Cells were incubated with different concentrations of AaPAL for 6 (black), 24 (grey), and 48 h (white). LPS (10 pg/mL) was added to show the stimulatory effect of LPS present in the highest concentration of AaPAL preparation. Supernatant was collected, and the metabolic activity of the cells was determined with AlamarBlue™ (bioSource International). The graph shows means and SD from three separate experiments. * denotes a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05; Mann-Whitney U-test) between the tested substance and medium control.
