Effects of L-theanine on the caspase pathway of JNK and p38 MAPKs in the H₂O₂-induced H9C2 cells. H9C2 cells were pretreated with or without L-theanine for 24 h, followed by 160 μM H₂O₂ treatment for 4 h. Then, the expression of p38, p-p38, JNK, and p-JNK were tested by Western blot. β-actin was used to confirm that equal cell equivalents were loaded. A representative Western blot for each treatment from four independent experiments was shown. The ratios of (p-p54/β-actin)/(p54/β-actin), (p-p46/β-actin)/(p46/β-actin), (p-p38/β-actin)/(p38/β-actin) were used for statistical analysis. Data are expressed as means ±SD (n=4).
