The parent IgG molecule is secreted efficiently. Protoplasts from leaves of transgenic tobacco plants expressing the monoclonal Guy's 13 IgG were pulse-labeled for 1 h and chased for the indicated periods of time. Cells and the corresponding incubation media were homogenized, subjected to immunoprecipitation with anti-IgG antiserum, and analyzed by 6% (w/v) non-reducing SDS-PAGE and fluorography.
