(a) treat a microwell chip with plasma, (b) print 320 nL of 20 mM BaCl2 for the gelation of the alginate layers printed, (c) dry the BaCl2 solution for 24 hours, (d) print 320 nL of the Hoechst-stained or the TMRM-stained Hep3B cells in alginate, (e) incubate the microwell chip in a humid chamber for 15 minutes for complete gelation, (f) print 320 nL of the Hoechst-stained or the TMRM-stained Hep3B cells in alginate, and (g) incubate the chip in a humid chamber for 15 minutes for gelation.
